Farm Los Pinos – is an ecological farm in the mountains of the “El Arenal” nature reserve in Aranjuez, Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Sandy loamy soils are common on the farm, great for growing coffee. The farm area is 177 hectares, of which 87 hectares are allocated for coffee plantations, and the rest is pine forest and broad-leaved trees.
The owner of the farm is the world famous organic coffee producer Byron Corrales. Byron Corrales. For three generations, the Corrales family has been producing coffee. The knowledge gained over the years allowed them to build an independent system on the farm, in harmony with nature and having a symbiotic relationship between plants.
Today, Byron represents the 3rd generation of coffee growers at the Los Pinos farm. The man preserves the old traditions and family secrets of the production of the “right” coffee, forgotten by many modern farmers during the years of industrialization.
Byron’s main focus is growing high quality organic coffee in the best conditions using natural resources.
The natural method of processing green coffee originated in Africa and is rightfully considered one of the oldest. In addition, the natural method of extracting grain from the berry is the most friendly to nature, since the minimum amount of water resources is used in the production process.
